The Black Alumni Association of Arcadia University (BAAAU) supports black students to participate in Preview, a two-credit course and weeklong international experience for first-year and transfer students. The fee can cover air and ground transportation, programmed events, accommodations, and some meals which can be an insurmountable obstacle between some students and the world, and this fund helps alleviate that obstacle.
“Study abroad programs provide benefits for growth that amplify the college learning experience. Students gain an appreciation for and understanding of cultural differences, engage in activities outside their comfort zone and broaden their minds and independence. I support the BAAAU Preview Travel Support Fund because it allows Arcadia to increase the number of students who can take advantage of a unique learning opportunity.” - Gretchen Santamour, Arcadia University Trustee
